Melgisorb® Ag antimicrobial alginate dressing is designed to reduce bioburden in infected or high-risk wounds while effectively managing high levels of exudate. The alginate fibres absorb fluid and form a soft gel that creates a moist wound environment to support healing. In vitro studies show Melgisorb Ag inactivates wound-relevant pathogens, including bacteria and fungi, within four hours and continues to act for up to 14 days.
