HydroClean is a hydro-active wound dressing containing a superabsorbent polyacrylate (SAP) core embedded in cellulose fibers and premoistened with Ringers solution. The wound contact layer features a knitted polypropylene fabric with silicone strips, which reduce adhesion to the wound bed and minimise trauma during dressing changes. The reverse side has a water-impermeable polypropylene film coated with hydrophobic non-woven fabric, preventing premature drying while delivering moisture to the wound bed for up to three days. HydroClean ensures a balanced moist environment that supports granulation and wound healing while protecting surrounding skin.
